Ukraine's State Emergency Service trains new rubble clearance units and creates engineering service

Andrii Danyk, the head of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine, stated that the SES has expanded the number of units trained in rubble clearance at high altitudes and is developing an engineering service to automate this procedure.

Details: According to Danyk, due to the continued attacks, rescue workers in frontline regions are now the most involved, though employees of the State Emergency Service from other regions are also participating and developing operations bases.

Quote: "The number of teams trained to clear rubble at high altitudes has increased significantly. At the start of the year, there were roughly a hundred of these specialists; today there are 500."

Details: Danyk further stated that an engineering service is now being established with the goal of maximising the mechanisation of all operations for rubble clearance.

"Engineering equipment can carry out far more than rescue workers manually," he added.
