Andrii Danyk, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), has stated that the Russians are deliberately "hunting" Ukrainian emergency workers, so the security protocols are constantly changing. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 93 members of the SES have been killed and nearly 400 have been injured.

Quote: "We lose people almost every day. Lately, the Russians have been hunting our staff down. In total, 98 emergency workers have been killed and almost 400 have been injured since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. But sadly these numbers are increasing every day…

We are developing the security protocols, constantly changing the approaches and inventing new organisational or technical means of protection, but I cannot publicly describe them in detail.

As soon as the enemy learns something, they make adjustments to their actions. As a result, what was effective a month ago is no longer effective today."

Details: Danyk added that robotics are being used to guarantee emergency workers’ safety. Means of radio-electronic reconnaissance are also actively being developed. "All the details will be revealed after the war," he said.
