Four families with four children have been brought back from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast.

Source: Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration

Quote: "We’ve managed to rescue some families with four children from temporarily occupied hromadas in the oblast. There are three boys and one girl, aged 11 to 16. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.]

They have told us about the horrors they’ve experienced: forced passportisation, denial of medical services, so-called Russian schools, searches and constant pressure."

Details: Prokudin said the families are now safe, and all the relevant services are working with them to help them adapt to their new location.

He noted that the rescue was organised by a team from the Office of Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliamentary Human Rights Commissioner, and volunteers from the charity Save Ukraine.
