Zelenskyy reshuffles Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made some personnel changes to the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Details: According to the decree, the president has appointed Oleksandr Trepak, Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Oleksii Morozov, Head of the State Protection Department, to the Staff.

By the same decree, Zelenskyy removed Oleksandr Kubrakov, Serhii Lupanchuk and Serhii Rud from the Staff. 

The decree comes into force on the date of publication.

  • The Ukrainian parliament dismissed Oleksandr Kubrakov as Ukraine’s deputy prime minister for restoration and minister of communities, territories and infrastructure development.
  • On 9 May, Zelenskyy dismissed Serhii Lupanchuk as commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed Oleksandr Trepak as his replacement. On the same day, the head of state dismissed Serhii Rud as head of the State Protection Department of Ukraine, a position he had held since 2019.
