Ukrainian and Russian forces clash 69 times across war zone, mainly on Pokrovsk front – Ukraine's General Staff

Ukrainian and Russian forces have clashed 69 times across the war zone since the beginning of the day on 15 July. The Russians are most active on the Pokrovsk front.

Quote: "The situation in the areas of combat operations and on the front line is tense, however, Ukraine's defence forces are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy's plans and destroy their personnel and equipment. A total of 69 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day."

Details: On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces mounted 10 attempts to storm Ukrainian defensive lines near the settlements of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. Six combat engagements are currently taking place near Vovchansk. The situation is under the control of Ukrainian forces.

On the Kupiansk front, the Russians attacked  the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Stelmakhivka, and the fighting is still raging. Ukrainian soldiers are continuing to steadfastly hold the line.

On the Lyman front, Russian troops, supported by aircraft, launched three attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Makiivka and Terny. The Russians encountered no success in two of the attacks, and one is still in progress.

The Russians are also active on the Siversk front. Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks near the settlements of Rozdolivka, Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske, and four more attempts by the Russians to advance have failed. The situation is under the control of Ukrainian forces.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian troops mounted five assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Chasiv Yar and Hryhorivka. Two attacks are still in progress. Russian attack aircraft targeted the war-torn city of Chasiv Yar.

The number of Russian attacks on the Toretsk front increased to nine. The Russians are concentrating their efforts near the settlements of Pivniche and New-York. Ukrainian troops repelled four Russian attacks, and five more combat engagements are ongoing.

The Russians are actively using aircraft on this front, in particular, bombarding the settlements of Pivnichne, Toretsk, and New York. They dropped 12 guided aerial bombs and used unguided missiles.

The largest number of combat engagements took place on the Pokrovsk front. Russian troops, supported by bomber and attack aircraft, have made sixteen attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka and Yasnobrodivka since the beginning of the day.

Fighting continues near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Karlivka and Paraskoviivka on the Kurakhove front. Based on the updated information, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 Russian attacks in the area today.

On the Vremivka front, Ukrainian troops repelled four Russian attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Vodiane and Makarivka.

On the Orikhove front, the Russians mounted two unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian troops near Mala Tokmachka and towards Novoandriivka.

On the Prydniprovske front, the Russians are continuing to try to drive Ukrainian troops from their positions. Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian infantry assaults.
