Ukraine cannot agree to anything less than to live – Zelenskyy on Statehood Day

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated on Ukrainian Statehood Day that Ukraine cannot settle for anything less than living.

Quote: "We are fighting against a terrible enemy. One that cannot be called human. And one that is infinitely far from true Christianity.

Its essence is ruins. Death is what it brings and what we must overcome.

Ukraine cannot agree to anything less than to live. Anything less than to preserve itself. Anything less than to remain human.

Ukraine will not succumb to the evil that sheds blood for its own sick self-assertion. That despises truth, both human and divine, and devalues everyone except itself.

Russia builds its statehood precisely on this. But we are different. We are already separated from this enemy by our spirit. We must defeat this evil, and Ukraine will do it.

Ukraine will always be here. Our history. Our people. Our state."

Details: Zelenskyy recalled the Russian strike on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. He said Ukraine is currently focused on the battle "for our independence. For the next generations to inherit this independence. To inherit, not to fight for... And so that no 'Putins' dare bring ruin and suffering here any more."

The president added that Ukrainians are already separated from the Russians in spirit: "And we must do everything so that our state border with him becomes a true boundary between our world, which is inseparable from the global world, and those who seek to destroy us."
