Russians most active on 3 fronts, over 140 combat clashes occur over past 24 hours – Ukraine's General Staff

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks by Russian troops on 12 fronts over the past 24 hours, with 147 combat clashes occurring in total, and the most taking place on the Pokrovsk front.

Details: On the Kharkiv front, eight combat clashes occurred near the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, and Lyptsi.

On the Kupiansk front, the Russians stormed Ukrainian positions 10 times. The defence forces repelled Russian attacks near Berestove, Pishchane and Synkivka.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian forces repelled 17 Russian attacks near the settlements of Hrekivka, Nevske and Makiivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Terny (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Siversk front, Ukraine’s defence forces repelled seven Russian assault operations near the settlements of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Kramatorsk front, Ukraine’s defence forces stopped 12 Russian attempts to break through the defences near the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Toretsk front, the Russians, supported by aircraft, conducted 18 attacks near the settlements of Pivdenne, Pivnichne, Toretsk and New-York.

On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 Russian assault and offensive operations near the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka (Donetsk Oblast), where the Russians, supported by aircraft, tried to push Ukrainian units out of their positions.

On the Kurakhove front, Ukraine’s defence forces continue to hold back the Russians near the settlements of Netailove, Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka, where the Russians attempted to break through the Ukrainian defences 11 times.

On the Vremivka front, the Russians conducted 10 assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vodiane and Urozhaine (Donetsk Oblast).  

On the Huliaipole front, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attacks near Huliaipole. The situation is under control.

On the Orikhiv front, five combat clashes occurred near the settlements of Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

On the Prydniprovske front, Ukrainian defenders repelled a Russian attack on the left (east) bank of the Dnipro River. No positions were lost.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There is no evidence of formation of offensive Russian groups.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts (also known as the Siversk and Slobozhanshchyna fronts), the Russians are maintaining their military presence, conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities, bombarding settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation and increasing the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are continuing to inflict losses on the Russian personnel and equipment, depleting them along the entire line of contact.
