Guided aerial bombs hit courier company depot in Kharkiv: one civilian killed, 10 injured, including a baby

A man was killed and ten people were injured, including a baby, when a guided aerial bomb hit a depot in Kharkiv belonging to the private courier service Nova Poshta on Sunday.

Details: Syniehubov said the guided aerial bomb strike on Kharkiv caused a fire to break out in a civilian non-residential building, destroying a post office and seven vehicles.

One person was killed and eight were injured, including an eight-month-old baby.

Update: At 17:56 Syniehubov specified that a Nova Poshta depot had been struck. An employee was killed and nine other people were injured: an eight-month-old baby, a woman and seven men.

Syniehubov added that nine more people could also be at the site of the strike; the search for them is ongoing.

The Russians also hit Nova Poshta’s vehicle fleet, destroying eight vehicles and damaging dozens more.

According to the Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, Russia launched the attack around 16:30 (Kyiv time) from the village of Nizhny Olshanets in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast.

The Russian guided bomb hit an area several metres away from the Nova Poshta depot in Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi district.

One civilian was killed and nine injured, including an eight-month-old baby.

Eight vehicles were destroyed and another five damaged, the prosecutor’s office said.

Nova Poshta said that "All the staff who were on shift were in a bomb shelter at the time of the attack and did not sustain injuries" and that several members of the public and van drivers were injured in the attack.

The State Emergency Service later reported that the number of casualties had risen to 10.
