Details: SOF operatives discovered the location of a Russian Kasta-2E2 mobile radar station during aerial reconnaissance in one of the combat areas.

The SOF reported that this radar model is considered a state-of-the-art piece of weaponry designed to control airspace, determine coordinates and recognise air targets, including those flying at very low altitudes.

The Kasta radar was first spotted on Ukrainian territory in 2021 in the occupied part of Luhansk Oblast. At that time, the Russians had brought in equipment to counter attack UAVs. However, the vehicles of the Russian station have recently been targeted by SOF attack drones.

It is reported that SOF operatives targeted the Russian radar using one of the latest developments recently introduced into service.
