Russia has destroyed 9.2GW of Ukrainian power generation capacity, including the impact of missile strikes from two nights ago.

Details: "We discussed key priorities of Ukraine for the next months, including the urgent energy equipment needs to help alleviate the impact of continuous Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure. Including the attack from two nights ago, Russia has destroyed whooping 9.2GW of Ukraine's energy generation," Mathernova noted.

Background: On the night of 31 May-1 June, the Russians targeted energy facilities in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts.

On the same night, the Russians struck two hydroelectric power plants, causing critical damage to their equipment.

Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko stated that a series of Russian attacks resulted in the loss of over 8 GW of generation.
