Ukraine's Andrii Hnatov to head Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group soon

Details: UP's sources in the military leadership claim that the dismissal of Yurii Sodol from the post of Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was not a surprise to the General Staff.
Quote: "The Commander-in-Chief made non-public attempts to save the general, but after everything turned into a "new vs. old" situation, he decided not to argue publicly. The ambitions of young commanders are normal. Syrskyi probably did not want the conflict to be perceived as a dispute between generations because it would affect the [situation on the] battlefield."
Details: UP's sources in the military leadership reported that Sodol will formally remain in the status of Commander of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group for a few more days, but he will also be replaced by Andrii Hnatov, the new head of the Joint Forces Command.

- On 24 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had decided to replace Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov.
- The day before, Bohdan Krotevych, Chief of Staff of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard, had filed a request with the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) calling for an investigation into Lieutenant General Yurii Sodol due to heavy losses of personnel that he supposedly allowed.
