Zelenskyy approves Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council decision to establish Drone Forces

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has implemented the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) On the establishment of the Drone Forces as a separate type of force within the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Quote: "In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I hereby decree:

• To enact the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine of 25 June 2024, On the establishment of Drone Forces as a separate kind of force within the Armed Forces of Ukraine (attached).
• The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine shall have control over implementing the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine enacted by this decree.
• This decree shall come into force on the day of its publication."

Background: On 6 February 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers (Ukrainian Parliament) to establish the Drone Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
