Situation on Pokrovsk front remains difficult with Russians attacking 48 times – Ukraine's General Staff

During the past day, the Russians conducted 48 assaults on the Pokrovsk front. They have been most active near the town of Ocheretyne, Donetsk Oblast, from where they have advanced in various directions. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 29 attacks, while 19 combat clashes are still ongoing. The situation has been difficult.

Quote: "Since the beginning of the past day, 128 combat clashes have occurred. The Russian aggressor is attempting to use its advantage in manpower, equipment and air support. Throughout the day, the enemy have launched two missile strikes using 10 missiles. Additionally, they conducted 36 airstrikes using 50 guided bombs and 373 attacks by kamikaze drones. The Russians also fired 2,634 times on the positions of our troops and populated areas using various types of weapons."

Details: On the Kharkiv front, the Russians, supported by aircraft, attempted to attack the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Vovchansk, Lyptsi and Tykhyi three times. All the attacks were unsuccessful.

As of now, a Russian armoured combat vehicle, two artillery systems, 22 UAVs, two vehicles, a UAV ground control station and two ammunition storage points are known to be destroyed. In addition, two vehicles, an armoured vehicle and two artillery systems were damaged.

On the Kupiansk front, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times. Ukraine’s defence forces successfully repelled 15 Russian assaults near the settlements of Stepova Novoselivka, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Pishchane. The situation is tense and fighting is ongoing near Stelmakhivka.

On the Lyman front, the Russians unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian defenders near the village of Nevske and the Serebrianka forest six times during the day. Currently, three combat clashes are ongoing near the settlements of Hrekivka and Nevske.

A similar situation is observed on the Toretsk front, where the Russians attacked near the settlements of Shumy, Toretsk and New-York seven times. Four combat clashes have finished but battles continue.

The Russians are intensely attacking Ukrainian defenders on the Pokrovsk front. Throughout the day, they increased their efforts, conducting a total of 48 assault and offensive actions. The highest activity of the Russians is noted near the town of Ocheretyne, where they attempt to penetrate Ukrainian defensive lines in various sectors. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 29 attacks, and 19 combat clashes are ongoing. The situation is challenging. Ukraine’s defence forces are putting maximum efforts to prevent the Russians from advancing deeper into our territory.

There have been 13 unsuccessful combat clashes for the Russians on the Kurakhove front so far. They attempted to advance near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.

On the Prydniprovske front, the Russians persist in their intention to drive Ukrainian troops from the Dnipro River's left (east) bank. All six Russian attacks were unsuccessful. 

There were no significant changes in the situation on the remaining fronts.

Ukrainian soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the Russians, actively firing on their personnel and equipment.
