Polish military says Russian air balloon seen in Polish airspace

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has reported that an air balloon has entered Polish airspace from the territory of the Russian Federation.

Details: The balloon is moving eastwards in the airspace of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is continuously monitored by the Polish Armed Forces.

Its course suggests it will leave Polish airspace in several hours.
"The balloon does not pose a threat to the security of the residents of the area in which it has been seen moving," the Polish Armed Forces wrote on Twitter (X), adding that they are monitoring the situation.

- In March, an unidentified flying object similar to a weather balloon was spotted in northern Poland near the village of Warkalki. Two similar balloons were later seen in the same area.
