Vandals desecrate graves of Ukrainian soldiers Da Vinci, Juice and Investor in Kyiv – video

Unknown people damaged the graves of fallen soldiers Dmytro "Da Vinci" Kotsiubailo, Pavlo "Investor" Petrychenko and Andrii "Juice" Pilshchykov at Askold's Grave in Kyiv on the night of 19-20 June.

Details: Mykhailova posted a video in which she said that the vandals had smashed portraits and painted flags on the graves of the fallen defenders. They also damaged lamps on the tombstones.

Mykhailova added that families and friends would restore the gravesites. The police have already taken up the case.

"Dear friends, investigators are working at the scene, the perimeter has been blocked, the recordings from CCTV cameras have been seized and investigative actions will be carried out.

It is not allowed to rearrange or remove things yet, so I ask you not to rush to сome here and restore the graves," she said.

Ukrainska Pravda.Zhyttia (Life) has asked the Kyiv police for comment and is awaiting a response.

Background: Dmytro Kotsiubailo who went by the alias Da Vinci served as part of the volunteer Ukrainian corps Pravyi Sector (Right Sector). He was a soldier of the 67th Separate Brigade and a battalion commander. Since 2014, he had been defending Ukraine on the battlefield. He was killed in action near Bakhmut in March 2023.

Andrii "Juice" Pilshchykov was a Ukrainian military pilot. He was killed in a plane crash in August 2023 in Zhytomyr Oblast.

Pavlo Petrychenko was a public activist, a sergeant of the 59th Separate Motorised Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. He was killed in action on 15 April 2024 in Donetsk Oblast, only a day short of his 32nd birthday.
