Ukraine will receive €1.9 billion under the Ukraine Facility plan by the end of June.

Quote: "Today I can say that we will deliver an additional €1.9 billion from the Ukraine Facility to Ukraine by the end of this month due to the reforms and investment strategies that Ukraine has adopted," she said.

In addition, the president of the European Commission noted that €200 million had already been mobilised for urgent repairs to the energy system.

"Next, we will invest in energy generation, and thousands of solar panels will be delivered to Ukraine. Our goal is to decentralise energy production, which increases the resilience of the Ukrainian grid," she added.

  • The European Parliament approved the regulations of the Ukraine Facility programme in February 2024. According to the approved regulations, the EU support programme for Ukraine in the amount of €50 billion will be valid from 2024 to 2027.
  • In April, the European Commission supported the Ukraine Plan reform proposed by the government of Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility mechanism, which defines the conditions for receiving €50 billion of macro-financial assistance during 2024-2027.
  • Ambassadors of EU member states supported the plan for the Ukraine Facility, agreeing with the positive assessment of the document proposed by the European Commission.
  • The Council of the European Union finally adopted Ukraine’s plan necessary for the implementation of the Ukraine Facility programme in the amount of €50 billion. This year, the government expects to raise €16 billion.
  • First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko and EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Olivér Várhelyi signed a Framework Agreement on EU funding under the Ukraine Facility.
