Details: After analysing the photos, the journalists found that a building on the territory of the residence had burned down. Officially, it is the Altai Yard sanatorium and resort complex owned by Gazprom, but it is closed to ordinary Russians.

Information about a classified construction project in the Ongudaysky district of the Republic of Altai appeared in 2010, with up to RUB 3 billion (about US$33.1 million) spent on this project. Local opposition figures have repeatedly spoken about the complex's links to Putin.

The media also claims that the complex includes a special farm with a smallholding for extracting the antler of maral deer, which, as Russian media previously reported, can be used by Putin to bathe in.

Background:

Investigative journalists reported in April 2022 that Russian President Vladimir Putin is being briefed by ten doctors when he travels, while he himself is interested in unconventional medicine – such as taking baths using deer horn extract.
