Quote: "We have [recorded] 19 attempted assaults, which is quite a lot. Twelve of them took place on the Orikhiv front. These are several settlements. Most of them were in the area of [the settlement of] Staromaiorske. In addition, seven assault attempts were made on the left (eastern) bank [of Kherson Oblast], including one on Nestryha Island and six on [the village of] Krynky."

Details: The official said that the escalation on the battlefield is related to the preparations for the Peace Summit to be held on 15-16 June in Switzerland.

"The enemy has been amassing its forces for some time in order to escalate [the situation] once again. This is primarily because preparations for the Peace Summit are underway. And this is a common way for Russians to exert influence in geopolitics."

Background: On 29 April, in an interview with Hromadske Radio, Dmytro Pletenchuk reported that the regaining of control over the island of Nestryha in Kherson Oblast by Ukraine will significantly enhance the quality of counter-sabotage measures by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
