He added that the day before, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson presented these aircraft directly to the Ukrainian ambassador in Sweden.
Background:
- In addition to the ACS 890 aircraft, Sweden will deliver to Ukraine its entire stock of Pbv 302 armoured personnel carriers, RB 99-AMRAAM missiles, which can be used on both aircraft and ground-based air defence systems, artillery ammunition, and resources for maintaining the previously transferred equipment.
- Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson noted that the support package is primarily focused on three things Ukraine currently needs most and has clearly requested: strengthening air defence, artillery ammunition, and armoured vehicles.
