My five-year term is not over yet – Zelenskyy on presidency

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has stated while assessing his five years in the presidential office that his term has been extended due to martial law.

Details: Asked to assess his own work done within the span of the five years of presidency, Zelenskyy replied: "My five years are not over yet, they continue because of martial law".

Quote: "I cannot assess my work. This is not ethical. I think that a view from the side is always more fair and I am not going to argue with this view. The truth is always somewhere in the middle."

Details: Zelenskyy added that he was glad to be the president of a nation that did not turn tail, and accepted the challenges it faced. "I’m proud that I’m the president of Ukraine, this is my attitude towards these five years," he said.
