Russia loses 1,380 soldiers and 15 tanks in one day

Russia has lost 1,380 soldiers, 15 tanks, 42 artillery systems and 34 armoured combat vehicles in the war against Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 21 May 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• 495,070 (+1,380) military personnel;
• 7,605 (+15) tanks;
• 14,699 (+34) armoured combat vehicles;
• 12,779 (+42) artillery systems;
• 1,077 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 811 (+4) air defence systems;
• 354 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 326 (+0) helicopters;
• 10,290 (+54) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 2,207 (+2) cruise missiles;
• 27 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 17,383 (+72) vehicles and tankers;
• 2,085 (+6) special vehicles and other equipment.
