Ukrainian oil company to drill two more oil wells in western Ukraine

Ukrnafta, a Ukrainian oil company, is preparing a site for two new exploration wells in the west of Ukraine. Total initial production should generate 41 tonnes of oil per day.

"Preparations are currently underway for drilling two wells in western Ukraine," the report says.

The initial oil production of the first well should be 16 tonnes per day. The second one is 25 tonnes per day. 

Background:

• In 2023, the company's net profit amounted to UAH 23.6 billion (about US$600 million).
• Ukrnafta begins to drill a new oil well at a field located in western Ukraine.
• Ukrnafta received an additional production rate of 138 tonnes of oil per day after measures were taken to intensify production at one of the Western fields.
