Finnish president meets Ukrainian defenders of Hostomel Airport – photo
Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who is making his first visit to Ukraine as president, has visited the battlefield at Hostomel Airport and met with several military personnel who took part in its defence.

The Finnish leader shared a photo from Hostomel, noting that it is a symbolic site from the early days of the full-scale war, where Ukraine's struggle for freedom and independence began.

During his visit, Stubb announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth €188 million – the 23rd provided by the Finnish government.
A bilateral security cooperation agreement was also reached.
Ukraine has already signed security agreements with the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Canada, and the Netherlands.
