Belgorod is rated one of Russia's five best cities to live in
The Russian Federation's Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities has released a list of the best Russian cities to live in. Surprisingly, Belgorod – a city that experiences frequent attacks – came in at number four among cities with under a million residents.

Details: The top three in this category are Mytishchi near Moscow, the urban district of Khimki, and the city of Yaroslavl, with Belgorod right behind them, followed by Tyumen and Grozny.
Shebekino and Grayvoron in Belgorod Oblast are also on the list of small towns, despite being subjected to frequent bombardment.
Background: Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reports attacks on Belgorod city and oblast almost every day. On the evening of 1 April, the Belgorod Oblast authorities reported that air defence had been activated in Belgorod and its vicinity. The attack damaged civilian infrastructure and left several people injured.
