Boris Johnson, former UK Prime Minister, has urged Western countries to lift the restrictions on the supply of the armament Ukraine needs to defeat Russia in its full-scale war.

Details: Johnson asks rhetorical questions "why the delay" and "what the hell has got into us", criticising the West for delaying military aid for Kyiv.
The former UK PM warned that a hypothetical defeat of Ukraine in the war against Russia would become a "turning point in history", when the West "finally loses its post-war hegemony", and aggressors ignore the borders.
"It will be a terrifying moment for the people of Taiwan and the clearest possible signal to China that the West has lost the willpower to protect democracy," he stressed.
Johnson says that due to the lack of ammunition the Ukrainian troops have to sit through Russian bombings, and due to insufficient air defence the city of Kharkiv may turn into "another Mariupol".
He urged the US Congress to adopt the US$60 billion military aid package for Ukraine as soon as possible, and Germany to supply Kyiv with Taurus missiles.
"It is time for the West, including Britain, to snap out of our sleep-walk; to recover the spirit of Reagan and Thatcher and invest in the defence of our freedoms. The simplest and most cost-effective way to defend freedom is to invest now in the defence of Ukraine," Johnson stressed.
Boris Johnson has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion and advocates for supplying it with all the aid it needs.
