Russian forces target substation of Ukraine's Ukrenergo in Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Russian troops launched a UAV attack on a substation belonging to Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s national energy company, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on the night of 8-9 March.

Details: Russian forces launched a UAV attack on a 330kV substation. The attack caused no damage to the substation's equipment, so no outages occurred.

There were no casualties.

The grid is not experiencing any electricity shortages. A unit at one of the thermal power plants was put out of service for emergency repairs.

The reserve includes 15 units and two thermal power plant buildings, ready to be used if necessary. Commercial electricity imports and exports are also planned.
