Russian forces carried out 30 assaults on Novopavlivka front and 16 on Avdiivka front today – General Staff report
Russian forces made 30 attempts to break through the Ukrainian defences on the Novopavlivka front, while Ukrainian forces repelled 16 Russian assaults on the Avdiivka front on Saturday, 30 March.

Details: Over the course of the day, Ukraine’s Defence Forces clashed with Russian forces 79 times. Russian forces carried out 13 missile strikes and 56 airstrikes. They also deployed multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) 57 times to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts; there is no evidence Russia is forming new offensive units there.
On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces carried out airstrikes in the vicinity of Neskuchne (Sumy Oblast) and Kruhle (Kharkiv Oblast). Around 20 Ukrainian civilian settlements came under Russian mortar and artillery fire, including Bleshnia and Hremiach (Chernihiv Oblast); Kucherivka, Sosnivka and Marchykhyna Buda (Sumy Oblast); and Kudiivka, Strilecha and Pletenivka (Kharkiv Oblast).
Russian forces did not undertake assault operations on the Kupiansk front, but they conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Hryhorivka, Synkivka and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv Oblast) and deployed mortars and artillery to attack more than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Pishchane (Kharkiv Oblast).
Ukrainian forces repelled 5 Russian assaults in the vicinity of Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Terny (Donetsk Oblast) on the Lyman front, where aircraft-supported Russian forces attempted to break through the Ukrainian defences. Russian forces also deployed aircraft to strike area in the vicinity of Yampolivka and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast) and mortars and artillery to attack more than 10 civilian settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Vyimka and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian forces repelled 4 Russian assaults near Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske (Donetsk Oblast), where aircraft-supported Russian forces attempted to improve their tactical positions. More than 10 civilian settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka and Dyliivka (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.
Ukrainian forces repelled 16 Russian assaults near Berdychi, Umanske, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk Oblast) on the Avdiivka front, where the Russians tried to push Ukrainian forces out of their positions. Russian forces also deployed artillery and mortars to attack around 20 civilian settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Umanske and Netailove (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Novopavlivka front, Ukraine’s defence forces are continuing to hold the Russians back near Krasnohorivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka and to the east of Vodiane (Donetsk Oblast), where aircraft-supported Russian forces made more than 30 attempts to break through the Ukrainian defences. Russian aircraft struck an area in the vicinity of Oleksandropil (Donetsk Oblast). Over 10 civilian settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Vuhledar (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.
On the Orikhiv front, aircraft-supported Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk Oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) 5 times. Russian aircraft struck an area in the vicinity of Malynivka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast). More than 10 civilian settlements, including Poltavka, Chervone, Novodanylivka and Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, Russian forces carried out an assault on the positions of Ukrainian forces on Dnipro’s left (east) bank. More than 10 civilian settlements, including Zolota Balka, Baryslav, Mykhailivka and Kherson (Kherson Oblast) and Solonchaky (Mykolaiv Oblast), came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
Over the course of today, Ukrainian aircraft carried out airstrikes on 3 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems and 11 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment.
Units of Ukrainian Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 4 Russian radars, a command post, a cluster of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, 2 air defence systems, and an artillery system.
