Mykhailo Podoliak, advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, has stated that Ukraine has nothing to do with the gun attack that occurred at a concert hall in Moscow Oblast on 22 March.

Quote: "Let’s get this straight. Ukraine has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with these events. Firstly, we are fighting a full-scale, huge and intense war with the regular Russian army and the Russian Federation. And irrespective of anything else, everything will be decided on the battlefield for Ukraine. It is important to conduct efficient combat action and offensive action in order to destroy the regular Russian army and thus end this war."

Details: Podoliak also noted that unlike Russia, Ukraine has never used terrorist methods of warfare. He recalled that even recent Russian history contains multiple precedents of Russia using terrorist attacks against its own citizens to justify offensive combat action.

Podoliak also remarked that long before the terrorist attack, representatives of foreign countries in Moscow had warned of the possibility of terrorist attacks being carried out to justify offensive actions by Russia.

Quote: "[The terrorist attacks were committed] in order to continue to justify large-scale mobilisation, militarisation, and the absolutely heinous genocidal missile attacks on Ukraine’s civilian population."

  • The White House said it saw no evidence of any Ukrainian involvement in the attack, which has claimed the lives of dozens of people.
