Google Play Store blocked in Russia
Google Play Store has been blocked in Russia, supposedly because of a new app by Navalny's team. Alexei Navalny is a Russian opposition leader who claimed he was against the war unleashed by Russia, but still supported the 2014 occupation of Crimea. He was imprisoned by the Putin regime a few years ago and died in prison in February 2024.

Details: "The possible reason for the blocking is the release of the Foton-2024 app, which Alexei Navalny's supporters announced today," they said.
Foton-2024 is an app that randomly selects a candidate in the Russian presidential election for whom a voter should vote – any of Vladimir Putin's three opponents, along with the option to "make the ballot invalid".
