Freedom of Russia Legion promises surprises for Putin's elections: Fighting underway in Belgorod Oblast

The Freedom of Russia Legion says that Russian volunteer formations are fighting with Russia's regular army in five settlements in Belgorod Oblast.

Details: Liutyk said that the village of Tyotkino in Kursk Oblast is at the epicentre of all military operations and combat clashes occur in other settlements.

Quote: "Now the situation of instability extends to neighbouring settlements, not only in Kursk Oblast but also in Belgorod Oblast. There are also more than three; rather, we can talk about five settlements where there are combat clashes between the volunteer army and Putin's troops…

This is all dedicated to the so-called elections. The electoral procedure that will begin tomorrow to usurp power by Vladimir Putin once again. We, as concerned citizens of Russia, have decided to express our political will and attitude towards these elections and the regime of Vladimir Putin. We have taken tools for voting (smiles - ed.), and all the surprises will start tomorrow because tomorrow is the election."

Previously: Russian volunteer soldiers fighting on the Ukrainian side have announced strikes on Russian military positions in Belgorod and Kursk and called on local residents to evacuate.

Background: 

• On 12 March, soldiers of the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Sibir (Siberian) Battalion have reported that they have crossed the Russian border. The military volunteer groups have posted an address online, and a video has appeared on Telegram channels purporting to show military personnel firing their weapons on Russian territory.
• Military volunteers from the Freedom of Russia Legion claimed they had taken full control of the Russian town of Tyotkino in Kursk Oblast.
• The founder of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) said that fighters of the RVC will make efforts to ensure that no sham elections of Russian president Vladimir Putin take place on the territories bordering Ukraine.
