Russia loses over 390,000 soldiers and 11,857 armoured combat vehicles in war

Russia continues to suffer losses in its war of aggression against Ukraine, as Ukraine’s Defence Forces killed 1,020 Russian soldiers and destroyed 35 armoured combat vehicles and 18 artillery systems over the past day alone.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 6 February 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 390,580 (+1,020) military personnel;
• 6,365 (+17) tanks;
• 11,857 (+35) armoured combat vehicles;
• 9,367 (+18) artillery systems;
• 979 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 665 (+1) air defence systems;
• 332 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 324 (+0) helicopters;
• 7,173 (+0) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 1,848 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 24 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 12,453 (+41) vehicles and tankers;
• 1,496 (+10) special vehicles and other equipment.
