Denmark allocates almost US$1.5 million to help Ukraine recover

The Danish government has allocated a US$1.45 million grant to support cooperation with Ukrainian cities in helping the country recover.

Details: "The Danish government is providing an additional grant of DKK 10 million [roughly US$1.45 million] to strengthen Danish-Ukrainian municipal cooperation in Ukraine's recovery," the statement said.

The funding will be used for cooperation between the municipalities of Aarhus and Copenhagen and the Ukrainian cities of Lviv, Kyiv and Mykolaiv.
Background:
- Earlier, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund received the first instalment of a €4 million contribution from Denmark.
- In March 2023, Hanna Zamazieieva, Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Council, and Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, Danish Ambassador to Ukraine, signed a memorandum on the reconstruction of Mykolaiv Oblast.
