Russian strategic nuclear forces on full alert – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the strategic nuclear forces of the Russian Federation had been put on full alert and once again boasted about the development of new weapons. According to him, these are already either used in the war against Ukraine or will soon be delivered to the troops.

Quote from Vladimir Putin: "The strategic nuclear forces are combat-ready. What we planned in terms of weapons, as I mentioned in a message in 2018 − everything is done or is being completed.

Thus, the Kinzhal hypersonic aviation system is not only put into service but is also used efficiently to defeat particularly important targets during the Special Military Operation [as the Russians call the war against Ukraine − ed.]."

Details: Putin added that Zircon, the sea-based hypersonic missile, has already been used in combat.

"It was not even mentioned in a message in 2018, but this system is already in service. Avangard intercontinental hypersonic units and Peresvet laser systems are on combat duty," Putin said.

He added that tests of the Burevestnik cruise missile, which is said to have an unlimited effective range, and the Poseidon unmanned surface vehicle are now being completed in Russia.

Quote from Putin: "The first mass-produced Sarmat heavy ballistic missiles have also been delivered to the troops. And we will soon demonstrate them in the areas of their deployment [as they will be] on combat duty."

The Russian dictator assures that work on "a number of other promising weapon systems continues."

He traditionally repeated the lie that Russia "did not start this war in Donbas" and once again stated that the Russian occupiers will do "everything to end it, eliminate the Nazism, and complete all the tasks of the Special Military Operation."

At the same time, he said that Russia was not going to deploy nuclear weapons in space.

According to Putin, all sorts of alleged "fake news" have been spread, saying that the United States allegedly needs to draw Russia into negotiations that benefit America.
