Russia loses over 1000 soldiers and 23 tanks in one day

Russia continues to incur casualties in the ongoing war with Ukraine; in the past day alone, Russian forces lost 1,150 servicemen, 44 armoured combat vehicles, 41 artillery systems, and 23 tanks.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 29 February 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]: 

• Approximately 413,760 (+1,150) military personnel;
• 6,593 (+23) tanks;
• 12,552 (+44) armoured combat vehicles;
• 10,070 (+41) artillery systems;
• 1,000 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 690 (+2) air defence systems;
• 342 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 325 (+0) helicopters;
• 7,768 (+15) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 1,912 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 25 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 13,152 (+40) vehicles and tankers;
• 1,601 (+7) special vehicles and other equipment.
