Mitch McConnell, known for his support of Ukraine, has announced that he will step down as the leader of the Republican Party in the US Senate in November. The White House does not believe this will affect bipartisan support for Ukraine in both houses of Congress.

Details: McConnell pledged to continue to work in his post until the presidential and congressional elections in November.

He also intends to see out his term as a senator, which ends in January 2027.

The US administration is convinced that McConnell's announcement will not affect bipartisan support for Ukraine in both houses of Congress.
