Details: The map is part of the UWC's global advocacy campaign StandWithUkraine. The main objective of the campaign is to raise awareness of Russia's war against Ukraine among global civil society, media, world leaders and governments and to strengthen support for Ukraine.
Ukrainians in more than 150 cities have already registered events on the map.
The UWC invites Ukrainian activists to register peaceful rallies and events scheduled for 24 February 2024 using this link so that we can come together with one voice to remind the world of the ongoing genocidal war.
Quote from UWC President Paul Grod: "Without international support, Ukraine is in danger, and it’s our responsibility to ensure that support is there. In these uneasy times, we must stand strong, united and do our part responsibly. Ukraine needs all of our voices, support and pull, around the world."
Quote from Sevgil Musaieva, editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda: "We do not have a chance to let the world get tired of our war. That is why the active position of Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine around the world is so important today. The world needs to see that we are not tired of fighting for our country, our freedom, equality, respect, and democracy. We are doing it in the face of a difficult, bloody war and witnessing our struggle with millions of voices worldwide."
