US Senate votes to end debates on Ukraine aid bill

The US senators have adopted a motion to invoke cloture on the debate regarding the bill on assisting Ukraine and Israel.

Quote from Markarova: "The next step was the adoption of the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the updated text of bill HR 815 (Legislative tool for the National Security Act of 2024), which was supported by 66 senators (with the required 60), and opposed by 33 senators."
Background:
- On 8 February, the US Senate adopted a procedural decision for further consideration of the bill allocating additional assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
- On 11 February, the US Senate voted to overcome the last procedural hurdle on Sunday, bringing the final vote on the Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan aid bill closer to passage in the coming days.
