Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief and US Army Commander in Europe discuss Russia's next steps and strengthening air defence

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, discussed possible further actions of the Russian army with General Christopher Cavoli, Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of the United States Army in Europe.

Quote: "[I was] informed about the situation at the front. The operational and strategic situation remains difficult, but controlled. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct defensive operations, concentrating on repelling enemy attacks and inflicting maximum losses on manpower and equipment.

General Cavoli and I discussed in detail possible actions of the enemy, which are expected in the coming weeks and months."

Details: Separately, the commanders discussed counteracting large-scale missile strikes and the need to strengthen the Ukrainian air defence system.
