Military pilots drop sweets for little girl in Kharkiv Oblast who always waves to them – video

Helicopter pilots from the Ukrainian Armed Forces dropped sweets for a little girl on the Kupiansk front in Kharkiv Oblast who would always wave to them as they flew by. 

Artem, the helicopter commander of the 16th Army Aviation Brigade, shared this story in a video broadcast during the national joint 24/7 newscast. 

According to Artem, every time they flew on a combat mission, the girl would run out of her house onto the porch and wave to them.

"When we were working on the Kupiansk front, during our flights to the combat zone, we’d always see this little girl who’d come out whatever time of the day it was and wave to us, which was really nice," says Artem.

During the holidays, while on their latest flight, the pilots packed some sweet treats as a present for the girl and dropped the package from the helicopter.

The pilots captured this moment on video, and you can see the girl running out of her damaged house, greeting the Ukrainian pilots, and running over to the package they dropped.
