Russians claim they downed air targets on approach to Belgorod
The governor of Belgorod in Russia has claimed that "several air targets" were downed over Belgorod Oblast on the morning of 3 January.

Quote: "Our air defence systems were responding over Belgorod and the Belgorod district, downing several air targets on the approach to the city.
As of now, there is no information about the aftermath."
Updated: Later, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that air defence systems had destroyed six Tochka-U missiles and six Vilkha missiles over Belgorod Oblast. [Tochka-U is a surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile; in Ukrainian, the term Tochka-U refers also to the operational-tactical missile system used to launch the missiles − ed.]
