Russian attacks on Sumy Oblast cause 40 explosions in one locality in one day

Over the course of 27 January, Russian forces attacked 15 hromadas in Sumy Oblast, and a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shot dead a brother and sister in Khotin hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a city, town, or village and its adjacent territory – ed.]

Details: A total of 91 explosions occurred in Sumy Oblast, with Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Druzhba, Znob-Novhorod and Svesa hromadas coming under Russian fire.

Russian forces also deployed mortars to attack Khotin hromada, causing 40 explosions. A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shot dead two residents of the hromada, a brother and sister. They lived in the village of Andriivka, which is located within 5 kilometres of the Ukrainian-Russian border.

A Russian mortar attack on Seredyna-Buda hromada caused six explosions, with Russian shelling causing further three explosions there.

The Russians fired five mortar bombs and deployed a drone to drop a VOG bomb (causing an explosion) on Velyka Pysarivka hromada.

Russian shelling of Yunakivka hromada caused eight explosions, and an FPV drone attack caused a further explosion there.

A Russian mortar attack on Znob-Novhorod hromada caused three explosions.

Russian forces also fired one mortar bomb on Esman hromada.

Russian shelling caused four explosions, and a mortar attack caused 12 explosions in Bilopillia hromada.

Russian forces also deployed mortars to attack Druzhba and Krasnopillia hromadas, causing four and two explosions, respectively.
