Ukrainian forces destroy 61 Russian artillery systems and kill 840 soldiers over the past 24 hours

Russia continues to suffer losses in its war against Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Defence Forces have killed 840 Russian soldiers and destroyed 61 artillery systems, 31 armoured combat vehicles and 13 tanks over the past 24 hours.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 24 January 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 378,660 (+840) military personnel;
• 6,227 (+13) tanks;
• 11,579 (+31) armoured combat vehicles;
• 9,008 (+61) artillery systems;
• 971 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 659 (+2) air defence systems;
• 331 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 324 (+0) helicopters;
• 6,998 (+37) tactical UAVs;
• 1,842 (+22) cruise missiles;
• 23 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 12,005 (+49) vehicles and tankers;
• 1,416 (+7) special vehicles and other equipment.
