Russian strike on Kyiv: 1 person killed, damage in 3 districts, building and vehicles ablaze, unexploded missile in apartment – photo
Several buildings in several districts of Kyiv have been damaged as a result of a Russian attack on the city on the morning of 23 January, cars have been burning in the Sviatoshynskyi district, 18 people have been injured, and residents have been evacuated from a high-rise building after an unexploded missile warhead was found in an apartment. The occupiers fired at Kyiv with various types of missiles. Kyiv City Military Administration reported that one person had been killed.
(Later, Kyiv City Military Administration deleted all reports about the killed, injured, and destruction - ed.) However, Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs, also reported that a person was killed in Kyiv.

Quote from Klitschko: "A building, cars, and a kindergarten building are on fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. In the Solomianskyi district, the windows of a multi-storey building have been shattered by a blast wave. There is currently no information about casualties. Medical assistance has been requested at another address in the Solomianskyi district."

The mayor said there was a strike on a non-residential building in the Pecherskyi district. Emergency service units are en route to the location.
Update: Later, Klitschko reported that seven people, including a 13-year-old boy, had been injured as a result of the Russian attack. Most of them are in the Solomianskyi district. Six people have been taken to hospital.
Later, Kyiv City Military Administration reported that one person had been killed.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reports that one woman has been taken to intensive care and, as of 09:30, was continuing to receive treatment.
"The woman is alive!" the mayor said.
As of 08:00, firefighters were extinguishing a fire at a non-residential building in the Pecherskyi district.
Quote from Klitschko: "Information about a strike on a kindergarten in Sviatoshynskyi has not been confirmed. Cars are burning near the institution."
More details: Klitschko said that another apartment is on fire at a different address in the Sviatoshynskyi district. As a result of wreckage falling on the building, balconies from the ground to the fourth floor have been damaged. One person was found in the apartment where the fire started.
In addition, in this area, a non-residential two-storey building is on fire. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Mykhailo Shamanov, spokesman for Kyiv City Military Administration, said that the Russians had carried out a combined attack on Kyiv with missiles of various types.
Quote from Shamanov: "The capital came under a combined attack. First, Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles were launched from the Caspian Sea. Then, probably, ballistic missiles were fired at Kyiv. Most likely, these were Iskander missiles, but the Air Force will tell us more precisely later."

Darnytskyi: wreckage fell on the roof of a high-rise residential building (without further fire) and on the premises of a kindergarten (without causing damage or fire).
