Russian attack on Kharkiv injures children, damages gas pipeline and destroys school – video, photo
Preliminary reports indicate that Russian forces struck the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv with Kh-22 missiles at around 04:00 and 07:20 on 23 January, with three people killed and 35 wounded as of 09:20, including two children aged 10 and 12. Five people are in a critical condition.

Early reports indicate that children have suffered shrapnel wounds, and one woman was also injured. In another area, the Russians destroyed a hospital school for sick children.
One of the missiles hit a gas pipeline. All services are working at the scene. The Russians also attacked a holiday camp in Balakliia, with Bolvinov saying that preliminary reports indicated this was with two S-300 missiles.
Update: Meanwhile, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said the entrance to an apartment building had been completely destroyed as a result of the morning attack. Rescue workers are trying to clear the rubble, searching for people under it.
In addition, one of the most affected parts of the Kyivskyi district has no electricity and is partly without water. The relevant services are working to deal with the aftermath of the strike.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, reported that two civilians had been killed in a Russian attack on a high-rise building in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv as of 08:20 on the morning of 23 January.
"Around 04:00 and 07:20, the occupiers struck several times at the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv. Preliminary information indicates that they used Kh-22 missiles.
As a result of the strikes, two women have been killed and at least 13 people have been wounded. The data is being updated. Apartment buildings, an educational institution and other solely civilian infrastructure have been destroyed," Syniehubov updated the message.
At 09:10, Terekhov reported during the national joint 24/7 newscast that three people had been killed and 28 wounded.
The police have reported that people are still trapped under the rubble.
