Zaluzhnyi thanks Western partners for air defence supplies, says Ukraine needs more such effective weapons
Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has expressed his gratitude to Western partners for providing the air defence systems that have shot down a record number of Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, stressing that Ukraine needs more effective anti-ballistic weapons, as there is no reason to assume that Russia will stop.

Quote: "Today, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed 10 out of 10 Russian Kinzhal Kh-47M2 aeroballistic missiles with the help of the Patriot AD [air defence] system. This is a record. If the missiles hit their targets, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Thanks to the partners for AD. There is no reason to believe that the enemy will stop here. Therefore, we need more systems and [ammunition] for them."
