Russians launch 33 Shahed drones on Ukraine, 22 downed
The Russians attacked Ukraine overnight on 17-18 January using 33 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, with Ukrainian air defence managing to destroy 22 of these Russian targets.

Details: The Russians launched drones from the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Kursk Oblast in Russia. They also struck Kharkiv Oblast with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles launched from Belgorod Oblast.
The main areas of the strike were the south and the north of Ukraine.
Anti-aircraft units, mobile firing groups and electronic warfare assets were involved in repelling the attack.
Air defence systems were responding in Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Khmelnytskyi Oblasts.
