Details: The visit is scheduled at a time when political disputes between the United States and the European Union are delaying two significant aid packages for Ukraine.
France is working to finalise a bilateral security guarantee agreement with Ukraine to help strengthen its finances and defence against Russia, aiming to deter Moscow from future aggression.
Macron stated that in the coming weeks, approximately 40 long-range Scalp missiles and "several hundred bombs" will be delivered. "I will go myself to Ukraine in February and finalise these texts," he emphasised. Macron also noted that Europeans need to make sure that Ukraine will be able to continue defending itself against Russia.
Macron added that allowing Russia to defeat Ukraine is not an option, as it would jeopardise the security of Europe.
