Moldova provides big discount on transit of Ukrainian grain until end of year

Transit transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products through Moldova in 2024 will be carried out at a discount of 27% to the current tariffs.

Quote: "According to the results of this year's agreements, a discount will apply to transit transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products by the Republic of Moldova. It is 27% for the current tariffs," the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories noted.

An agreement between the government of Ukraine and the Government of Moldova provides for constructing a border crossing over the Dnister River on the state border near the settlements of Yampil and Cosăuţi.

The ministry reiterated that the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan mixed Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation signed seven draft protocols in 2023. They provide for the organisation of joint control at common checkpoints across the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border.
