Attack on thermal power plants in Donetsk Oblast, one of them ablaze
Russian invaders attacked thermal power plants (TPP) in Donetsk Oblast, and due to technical reasons, equipment caught fire at one of the contact line thermal power plants, in both cases without injuries.

Details: It is noted that the condition of the equipment at the attacked thermal power plants is being inspected. The TPP operates normally.
There is no electricity shortage in the power system, but hydrogenation resources are actively used to cover the increased consumption.
"That is why the Ministry of Energy once again emphasises the need for conservative electricity consumption during peak consumption hours: 10:00-12:00 and 17:00-19:00," the ministry emphasises.
In addition, it is noted that two units of thermal power plants were put into emergency repair, while three units of generating equipment have been put back online after short-term repairs.
Currently, electricity imports are expected to be 3458 MWh, which is 26% less than on Monday. There have been no exports for almost two weeks.
Background:
On 15 January, the Ministry of Energy also reported about the attack on the contact line thermal power plant.
