Russian Defence Ministry reports drone attack on two Russian oblasts

Two Russian oblasts, Voronezh and Belgorod, were attacked with 12 drones overnight on 15-16 January.

Quote: "Regular air defence assets have destroyed five and intercepted three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles above the territory of Voronezh Oblast. Four UAVs were intercepted over Belgorod Oblast."

Background: A series of explosions rang out above the Russian city of Voronezh at night on 15-16 January. The authorities claimed it was an attack by "Ukrainian drones".

After that a state of emergency was announced in the Russian city of Voronezh.
